New paper in “Entautomatisierung” / “De-automatization”

I’ve got a new paper in the book, “De-automatization.” (“Entautomatisierung.”) My text, “SVEN (Surveillance Video Entertainment Network): Looking Back and Forward” looks back at my 2007 project SVEN – with Wojciech Kosma and Vincent Rabaud – and discusses some of the changes in the cultures of surveillance and sousveillance since then.

Girls Day Out

Spoke on a panel at UCSD Women in Computing’s “Girl’s Day Out” for high school women interested in careers in computing. Lots of fun meeting everyone and finding out the other panelists paths to becoming Women in Computing – almost all a bit complicated! And… Women in Computing gave me this t-shirt!

Eep! Got a little wrapped up and just plum forgot to post. Still plugging away at the visual performance instrument/framework sometimes known as PIGS (Percussive Image Gestural System).
